Lasted only 1 year
I installed this doorbell when I moved into my new house almost exactly 1 year ago. It seems to have died 2 days ago, but I didn’t realise. It was always pretty slow to react to motion and doorbell presses, delaying up to 10 seconds and, since it only records 8 seconds at a time, missing the action. Then it stopped sending notifications and I would only see someone at the door if I opened the app manually at the time. Now it just doesn’t work at all. It still seems to be paired, but instead of the camera view I have a refresh button, which doesn’t refresh.
On the positive side, the picture quality was always pretty good and the night vision was good, too. Would recommend it as a cheap, short term solution, but not a good long term option.
Latest update has killed notifications
Latest version which apparently landed 2 days ago means I no longer receive notifications of activity or door bell presses. Everything else works and all settings and permissions are set correctly. I’ve tried uninstalling, reinstalling, rebooting everything but still no notifications. Annoying
Good but needs some more key settings
Working all right but few things would have been good to have.
1. Even in silence mode, there should be an option to receive notification when the door bell is pressed. I just need to get the actual door bell press.
2. The battery should show a percentage and notify when its below 10%.
3. Would be good to have a schedule for settings - when to get notification and when to revert to silence.
