The lock is good itself but the app goes offline frequently which makes the app useless. It will go back online after we open the door with handle or just goes back online by itself. We have a good wifi range and a professional grade access point which supports 100 devices (or more) at the same time. I tried to get support from the app, they got back to me with a few questions and when I replied they said contact your local supplier in Australia (this took 3 days). Seems like I need to take a few days off from work to get a simple answer.

Have had the Samsung Smart Lock for eight weeks now and I am very happy with both the convenience and flexibility of the lock as well as the functionality of the app. Although you can program everything on the lock using its integrated functionality, it’s much easier to use the app. Also, I found the lock and app support from Samsung excellent. Was a very pleasant surprise to have the phone answered in under 1 minute and to be walked through the solution to my setting up problem and they stuck with me until I had it resolved. The support person (Mary) definitely know the product and was very helpful. I even received a follow-up text the next day to check to see if everything was all okay.

The app was not fully functional before update. We couldn’t use it to create temporary pin, could only delete manually created ones. Only one family member can use the app, for remote locking/unlocking. After the update, the app declares it’s disconnected from the lock, no more remote control. Funny enough, it can still tell how much the battery left in the lock. I wonder how it can tell the battery level without connection to the lock. Though it might not be accurate. It suddenly decided the battery level was low. After changing into brand new batteries, it reported the level was only 60%. I even changed it second time in case the batteries got mixed. 60% all the same. Well at least it can still have the connection to tell the difference between old batteries and new batteries, so not 100% useless. Maybe next update could fix the last bit?

Sorry but have tried everything to access the app and nothing works. Shut down the internet. Remove the app and reload and nothing happens. Just keeps trying to load. Cannot use any of the features and now now even my pin is working. Finger print only working but for some reason sends me notifications when door is used!!!!!!I’m telling you all right now do not buy a Samsung Smart Door Lock as you are wasting your money. There has been no current improvements to the app or even real answers to people’s problems. Can return it to the local dealer and even if I wanted to how the heck do I lock my front door. Who is paying for my locksmith again? I have hue set up throughout my home, Ring doorbell. Smart appliances every where, Sonos you name it but an old fashion lock is what I may have to go back too. You guys should be ashamed of such I poor product!!!!!!
