Zwift: Indoor Cycling Fitness 4+

Let me start by saying how much I love this game/experience. When I looked at the price I thought wait, how much? but then after using it for a couple of weeks now I can say that I am hooked. It is the experience that keeps unfolding the more you use it, I haven’t even scratched the surface of its potential so will keep on riding on. If Zwift people are reading the feedback which I’m sure you are, please keep developing you are doing an incredible job, obviously as I keep using this app I suspect over the coming 6-12 months I’d love to see new worlds getting added to keep up the excitement.

The in game experience is magic. Am a newb at virtual riding and have had limited use of other similar apps. But I find this really entertaining and makes in-home training much more enjoyable. Riding around Central Park from your lounge room in Australia is fun, lets face it.
But, before committing to $21 a month ($AUD), be aware there is a serious bug with the interface between the Apple TV remote control and your Apple TV 4K device when using the Apple TV Zwift app. Navigating around the app with it is a woeful experience to say the least and forget about scrolling long lists. From what I can see in various fora this bug has been around since at least 2018 and still has not been fixed. Very disappointing for an app that costs this much. So for now I just use the ipad app and simply mirror the screen to my large TV. So not as happy as I should be for $252 a year.
This is my personal experience but is commensurate with significant numbers of other users in zwift related fora. YMMV of course.

Its fundamentals work quite well, and it succeeds because it has this huge community already captured, but the price is high and the user interface so far beneath that expense. Basic stuff too, like not being optimised for different screens, so data is impossible to read when you’re running it from anything other than a large TV; no display of distance remaining in the course you’ve picked; lead in distances that are undeclared, so you can’t estimate how long a ride should take - if I had open time frames, I’d be on a real bike; being unable to change certain settings without actually being on a ride - annoying in itself, but also absurd, because if I actually wanted to ride, I’m not there to fiddle in menus... there’s lots more, and they’re all just annoying, but they add into a giant unsatisfactory ache.
