History is full of classic rivalries. Collingwood versus West Coast Eagles. Aaron Burr versus Alexander Hamilton. Boneless wings versus bone-in wings.
And now, another epic matchup: the Galanos Alliance versus the Darkhaan Empire. Choose your side carefully!
Alliance vs. Empire – AxE, for short – is a massively multiplayer game with all the bells and whistles you’d expect, minus the impenetrable clutter of menus. It’s a perfect entry point for players new to the genre, with enough depth to delight grizzled vets.
First things first: Pick a faction. Will you join the Alliance, a diverse collection of freedom fighters? Or will you side with the Empire, a unified state that follows the law to the letter? Choose from six character classes, each fully customisable and loaded with special combat abilities. Hurl boulders as a towering Titan, conjure flames as an adorable Mage – the choice is yours.
AxE strikes a satisfying balance between single-player adventuring and multiplayer mayhem. Solo swashbucklers can advance through more than 100 story-based missions spanning seven visually lush worlds, tackling tons of optional side quests and dungeons. There are comrades to help, monsters to slay, and piles of loot to pocket.
Those who prefer to run with a crowd can jump into all manner of multiplayer modes, from one-on-one duels and four-player raids to larger deathmatch and turf war battles. Party up with pals, side with strangers, or join a guild for valuable perks.
AxE gives players a dizzying number of things to do but smartly streamlines the experience for mobile. Want to simply grind for XP and loot drops? Activate Auto Battle mode and your character will follow quest markers at a sprint and fight monsters all on their own. That’s pretty awesome – no matter whose side you’re on.
