Unless you’ve been living on Asgard for the last 12 months, you’ll have heard of Centr: Chris Hemsworth’s fitness and lifestyle app. What you may not yet have heard of is its brand-new fitness program, Centr 6.
Centr 6 arrives just in time to fulfil those “new year, new you” resolutions – whether they be achieving a rippling, Hollywood-esque six-pack or simply leading a healthier, more active lifestyle. The six-week program is inspired by the training Hemsworth enjoys most and is backed by his top-notch trainers Luke Zocchi, Ashley Joi and Da Rulk.
Hemsworth used his time on set filming 12 Strong to inspire Centr 6, with the film’s remote setting helping to shape his regime with his trainer. “We had to come up with a style of training that could be done anywhere with minimal equipment but that was still effective and fun,” explains Hemsworth. The 20- to 30-minute Centr 6 workouts comprise of six exercises, done in six rounds, to be completed six days a week (c’mon, you’ve got this!). Workouts alternate between HIIT and strength training and can be done anywhere and at any time – the only equipment required is dumb-bells.
“The thing we love about this style of training is that it is adaptable to any goal I need to achieve for a role,” says Hemsworth, “whether it’s bulking or building lean mass, increasing speed, agility or endurance.” Centr 6 will definitely challenge you, but the trick is just sticking with it and making full use of the healthy recipes and mindfulness exercises within Centr. “Hopefully Centr can prove that making a resolution to be healthier or fitter doesn’t have to be complicated, time-consuming or expensive,” adds Hemsworth.
And what’s in store for Centr subscribers once they’ve nailed the Centr 6 challenge? “We definitely plan to roll out more bonus content throughout the year,” says Hemsworth. “I’ll be bulking up for Thor: Love and Thunder and using a bit of a different method this time around, so I’m looking forward to bringing Centr subscribers along for that journey.”
