Mimo: Learn Coding/Programming

Code Python, JavaScript, HTML

View

Mimo teaches a complex topic – how to code – using super-short lessons and quizzes that you can complete on the go.

It’s also results-oriented. The first thing you’ll do is identify what you want to accomplish: Build an iOS app, create a website, make a game? If you have experience coding, you can also focus on a specific programming language, like Swift, HTML, or C++.

The lessons in Mimo start out with quizzes right off the bat. Don’t worry, though. The questions aren’t difficult in the beginning. (The “Build an App” track, for example, opens with “What kinds of things might be apps on your phone?”)

Whenever you get a question wrong, Mimo gently explains the right answer. The questions get progressively harder and Mimo switches it up with interactive exercises like fill-in-the-blanks, putting lists in the correct order, and eventually writing code.

Which course will you choose?

All of Mimo’s courses are broken up into short segments, so it’s the perfect way to study, even for busy people.

Perhaps the coolest thing about Mimo is that you’ll actually create an app, game, or website by the end of a lesson track. There’s nothing like seeing your work come to life in a real coding environment. You’d be surprised how far a few five-minute lessons can get you.
