Yep, playing videogames professionally is now officially a thing. And what a life it must be – training hard day after day, honing your craft like a modern-day Rocky before battling the world’s best players in tournaments around the world.

Well, from today, millions of Clash Royale players are in with a chance of living that pro gamer life.

In the game’s ‘Events’ tab, there's a new limited-time League Challenge which, if conquered, earns you the chance to compete in the new pro-level Clash Royale League.

The challenge runs from today until Monday March 19th. Every Clash Royale player gets three free runs at the challenge, provided they are level 8 or above.

The rules: win 20 matches in the League Challenge to finish it; rack up three losses and you’re out. Every attempt at the challenge after your three free entries costs 10 Gems.

To play in Clash Royale's pro league, you've got to beat the League Challenge first.

Players who complete the challenge will then be contacted by Clash Royale creator Supercell to find out how to start their (potential) career in professional gaming.

The pro Clash Royale League will launch for real later this year and will be split into five regional competitions. To compete in it, North American and European players need to be 16 or over on or before June 1st. For the Asia League, players will need to be 16 or over on or before April 1st. Players who want to play in the China league need to be 16 or over on or before March 23. Age requirements have yet to be confirmed for the Latin American league.

So if you’re a level 8 or above Clash player, give it a go – with careful strategy and quick wits, you might just buy yourself a ticket to eSports stardom. And even if not, you’ll have a ton of fun trying.
