Black Desert Mobile 12+

Normally I'm skeptical about these types of mobile games and yes, there are a lot of real money options for boosts, definitely a lot of pay2win.
But, even without spending any money you can get far enough into the game, there's plenty of fun to be had, a lot of different features (town management, PvP Arenas and larger scale modes, plenty of PvE modes, etc.), even some I kinda wish the PC version had...

Graphics look AMAZING! Aaaand that’s where anything positive I can say about the game ends.

6y BDO EU player and I got roped in to try BDM a second time now with the Maegu x Woosa after trying it initially on BDM release.

(Not comparing this to any PC MMORPG’s as that would be unfair ofcourse, opinion purely based on comparison to other mobile games of the same/similar genre)

Pros:
-Graphics look very nice.

Cons:
-Autoplay is everything because trying to manually play warrants uninstalling after 10 minutes because it’s straight up bad and unenjoyable.
-EXTREMELY bloated with tons of inconvenient nonsense systems to pay for.
-None of said systems are actually explained or paced properly. Everything gets instantly thrown in your face and just deal with it.
-Even the basic UI is clumsy, convoluted and not user friendly. Too many menus and it’s a chore to get into the right one you’re looking for.
-Neither combat nor lifeskilling add anything redeemable to stick around for.

TL:DR;
There is no game, there is no fun. It plays while you watch and trying to play feels clunky, bad and completely void of any fun or enjoyment. Got stuck eventually? Start paying some (more) so you can continue watching it play itself further.

Stereotypical Asian (Mobile) MMORPG in all the worst ways. Just save your device’s battery life from this “game” that plays itself, and save your wallet because the only reason to keep letting it run itself is if you have foolishly invested any money.
