Get back to the golden Age (with a fresh touch)

It’s been years that I wanted to download and play Broken Age. I rediscovered the genre when they remastered the two first episodes of Monkey Island that I played at the Lucas Art time alongside The Fate of Atlantis, Sam and Max, Monkey Island 3, the day of the tentacle, full throttle, grim fandango and many more of great classics (such as tre broken swords 1-2, discworld 2...).

After years out playing on a computer and finding my phone not adequate it was a revelation to using the ipad and alongside the remastered getting the chance to play Sequel from classics and discover originals from the new gen with headUp, double fine, rusty lake and terrible toybox...

Foto course, even if it does adopt fresh graphics, the game mechanics are made for hardcore players and that what made me so happy. Clever, funny, beautiful and Entertaining with well balanced challenges!

Best game of the genre in years!

I didn't grow up playing these point and click type games because I only had my first PC in 2005. I tried a few but never really got into it because the game logic of combining completely unrelated items for a puzzle was only frustrating to me. Broken Age as a whole builds up quite nicely with its difficulty. Only problem I had with a puzzle was when I had to describe something. I knew what was supposed to happen, but I thought the description didn't really match the item. Bit frustrating. Anyway, nice story with some clever moments. Humour level was just right, Tim Schafer's writing is still excellent. (kinda wish he'd wright a book) All in all, if Telltale's work since Walking Dead makes you feel way to uninvolved, give this one a try. For new and veteran players of the genre.
