Golfen tot we erbij neervallen
Eindelijk een spel dat net zoals het leven maar blijft doorgaan en gekenmerkt wordt door een rustgevende verveling die nog altijd te verkiezen valt boven de vermoeiende drukte van golfterreinen waar parvenu's en notabelen met hun clubs staan te zwaaien alsof ze niets beters te doen hebben. Net zoals wij blijkbaar ook vaak niet beters te doen hebben, helaas. Laat staan dat we geregeld iets zinvollers doen dan op te gaan in dit spel dat zich — in tegenstelling tot het leven —tenminste eigen laat maken en nooit resulteert in het verwekken van een kind dat dan weer zelf zoveel jaren later moet constateren dat het leven op niet veel meer slaat dan het wegtikken van een golfbal die altijd op een volgend zetje blijft wachten.
