Can you stand against the impending arrival of a malevolent Ancient One?
While Elder Sign: Omens brilliantly conveys the spirit of the Elder Sign dice game, a few noteworthy differences were adopted to optimize the mobile play experience:
-A limited number of available Ancient Ones streamlines the game play experience while offering adjustable levels of difficulty. Face Yig in normal mode, Azathoth or Tsathoggua in hard mode, or Cthulhu or Ithaqua in very hard mode (in-app purchases required to face Cthulhu and Ithaqua).
-A number of subtle changes increase the peril of defending humanity. For example, the random negative effects drawn every midnight are more challenging, and the frequency of “no effect” results has been decreased. Monsters have likewise been altered to make them more difficult.
-Finally, there are no Ally cards in Elder Sign: Omens, which further streamlines play while increasing the overall challenge.

Top 5 iPad/iPhone game. Perfect game for Lovecraft horror fans
One of the best franchises in gaming land, the Arkheim Horror games and Elder Scrolls got a great translation for the iOS systems.
Initially it will be a hard challenge to win, but eventually you'll be amazed about the depth behind the terror dice.
I simply love it.
Beautiful
A truely beautiful implementation of an excellent game.
The difficulty is just right, the gameplay is fluent and fun and the replay value is very high.
I love playing this game both alone and with friends (as the boardgame is cooperative).
I would love to see more FFG games translated to ipad.
Perhaps Death Angel, Horus Heresy or another game set in the Warhammer 40.000 universe (Space Hulk?)...
If that game allows for "hot seat" multiplayer games as well I'm sure to buy it. FFG has definately proven that they know their stuff with an app as good as Elder Sign!
Very Good
I can not imagine that the board game version has more atmosphere and is easier to manage. Excellent. Also: no problems on an iPad 1.
