Lingvo Dictionary is a perfect tool for quick, easy and accurate offline translation of words and phrases!
Free access to 5 dictionaries for 6 languages included! Download them after installation right from within the app! Additional premium dictionaries for 11 languages including thematic, economic, law, etc. are available for In-App Purchase. Lingvo Dictionary works offline – it will become an indispensable tool for traveling, working or studying. The app helps to get a translation or an exhaustive interpretation of the word at any time.
Key Features:
WORKS OFFLINE: just download all desired dictionaries and use them when you need it.
PHOTO-TRANSLATION (iPhone only): recognition and translation of words from the mobile device’s camera or from images on your phone. To translate a word just tap it on the image.
FLASHCARDS for effective learning of words (with synchronization of flashcards between devices).
TRANSLATION of words and phrases FROM OTHER APPS. You can use one of the following methods:
• adjust translation via the clipboard,
• use dialog “Share with…”
• use drag-and-drop function (iPad only).
WORK WITH TWO APPS AT ONCE in Split view / Slide over mode (iPad only).
On the “INFLECTED FORMS” tab, you can quickly see declension of nouns, conjugation of verbs, etc.
CONVENIENT WORK WITH SEVERAL DICTIONARIES AT THE SAME TIME: a general words list, a combined dictionary card.
DICTIONARY ENTRY CONTAINS DETAILED INFORMATION about words, including translation alternatives, word usage examples, phonetic transcriptions, inflected forms of words and native audio pronunciation (in some dictionaries).

Too expensive!! Dictionaries are not complete!
No doubt the advantage of this dictionary is that it works offline. The option to take pictures and translate texts is also impressive, but not very useful. The thing that spoils the impression the most is the price with respect to completeness of dictionaries. I bought the largest dictionary from russian to other languages. It was something like 30 euro and it was sort of discount price. The english-russian dictionary is more or less satisfactory. But still with my english being quite far from perfect I encounter expressions, phrasal verbs etc. that are absent quite often. The russian-french dictionary is much worse. It does not have even some frequent words from daily life. Sometimes it gives words in french that do not exist. And pronunciation for french is often missing. So, I was disappointed
Good app, but dictionaries
Fine application, but unfortunately dictionaries except English ones are very poor and not suitable for professionals. Ok for language learners (beginners).
