Great
App gets worse every update
They’re abandoning functionality for looks. First they completely overhauled (and simplified) the UI and changed from YouTube videos to Spotify, so you have to play sleep sounds or anything else and stay connected to Spotify for the entire night. They also allowed limited the amount of options and customizabllity.
I wasn’t a fan of the change (like most other people), but I got used to it. Then today they heavily changed a large part of the interface *again* and, guess what, stripped the app of even MORE functionality.
You can no longer choose the volume at which you would like the sleep sounds/music of your choice to play at after the timer ends; instead, the sounds/music will just stop playing (volume changes to 0%).
When changing the sleep sounds to music of your choice, it also no longer displays what you’re listening to in the app anymore.
There’s positive things too; I like some of the visual changes, like the UI on the alarm screen, and the background. But the app is become more and more bare, and abandoning quality of life for pointless features like a “For You” tab with “Trending” sounds. (???)
I could defend the app after the previous major change a few months ago, but I can’t with this update. The worst part is that I haven’t found any worthy alternatives, so as long as they’re not *completely* ruining the app, I’ll still have to keep using it.
It’s a shame what happened to what was once a useful, unique app…
