Content is great! (App could be improved)
The content is great and really interesting! The division according to HSK levels makes it really easy to find appropriate material and the integration with the dictionary, tests and flash card system works great for easy learning.
Some parts of the app could be improved a bit. For example stories that have been marked as read could be greyed out in the browsing view so that they are easier to see. And maybe an icon could also be displayed when the test has been completed?

Good content yet terrible usability
I get no pleasure using this app.
Don’t get me wrong. They have great content. Everyday, you get new articles to read (and if you’re bored, there are hundreds - if not thousands - of other articles they previously wrote for each reading level).
BUT I really loathe the overall experience (app and/or website).I had used this app/website several years ago but quickly stopped using it (thinking that they’ll probably improve the experience in the future). They did not. Sure they added new features in the meanwhile. But does it make it a more delightful experience? Does it make it intuitive ? Hell no.
If you are looking for a more streamlined experience to read in Chinese at your level, I would recommend you to use DuChinese instead (and trust me, I don’t get a dime for that recommendation).
And please, TCB, stop asking me to review your app as soon as I open your app.
Now you know my opinion: kudos to your editors, shame on your UX designer.

Mostly premium content
Most of the articles are premium so you’ll need to pay for it which is a bit unexpected

Sample (free) lessons are available. We have one per level which are rotated on a bi-weekly basis. We also have samples of our Video and Legends content which you can access without a subscription. The rest of the content (7,100+ lessons) requires subscription access.
