Ok WOW!

I’m not going to review the game because there are plenty of reviews of this game already out there. Instead, I’d like to take a brief moment to describe the port.

I got this game a while back on Steam and really liked it. I just never got around to playing it much and when I’m sitting down behind my gaming PC, these are just not the games I want to be playing there. So it basically disappeared into my backlog until I saw it was ported to iOS. I’m playing this one an iPhone 6s Plus, using the virtual joystick. Looking around with the camera has this inertia to it that I wish we could turn off and the sensitivity is set way too low for what I’m used to. If you crank up the sensitivity, it controls fine until you flick the screen where the camera acceleration causes you to do a 180 or more. I hope they’ll give us an option to turn that off in an update but if not, I’ll probably get used to it in the long run.

Graphics on the iPhone 6s+ look better than I remembered seeing in most YouTube videos. Textures look mostly reasonably sharp but definitely a step back from the PC. Don’t get me wrong though, this game looks frikkin amazing. Some of the effects are toned down compared to the PC and there is a fairly aggressive, but subtle enough, LOD system into play here. But as far as iPhone games go, this is amongst the absolute best looking titles out there. Especially given that you can free roam around the world. It makes you wonder why there aren’t more games with stunningly beautiful environments because it definitely is possible, even on hardware of a couple of years old. Oh, and performance might not be 60fps all the time but I definitely would describe it as very smooth.

On last pro-tip... you can slide from the left of your screen to access your menu.

If you got this far, what are you waiting for? Go hit that buy button, these developers deserve it!

Graphics too low...

Please enable graphics settings in the game.
The resolution is pretty bad on the iPhone Xs Max. Otherwise, beautiful game.

Need a pad

It is a very good and amazing game but some puzzle are really difficult without a joystick.
