Description

The Wilde Island Town app contains literary travel services in one package. The app provides information of Enniskillen which is Ireland’s only island town, a small market town in Northern Ireland that lies on the border in the north west of the country. It is surrounded by a fertile fairytale landscape of lakes and islands, meadows and farmland and an unequalled layering of history from early mythological, Celtic, Christian, Plantation to more recent troubled times. Its pivotal waterways position it strategically between two of Ireland’s four provinces, Ulster and Connaught, as well as near the source of the Shannon to its south (Ireland’s equivalent to the Rhine) and St. Patrick’s Purgatory of Lough Derg to its north, making Enniskillen one of the most historical and mystical places in all of Ireland.
