The goal of this app is to help the user learn the skill of performing transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), by means of an 'interactive anatomy book', with a user interface emulating an echo probe and a patient. The app uses synthetic echo images based on an artificial 3-dimensional human heart model, with interactive labeling to show what anatomic structures are being displayed. This app is NOT able to actually perform a real ultrasound examination on a real patient, neither is it able to transform your device into a real ultrasound machine, nor is this app intended to provide any medical diagnostic or therapeutic guidelines whatsoever. Always seek a doctor’s advice in addition to using this app, and before making any medical decisions.

B. This app makes an artificial heart model move by means of digital animation technology. This function is intended for illustration purposes only, and does not reproduce a clinically realistic motion of the heart wall or any of the heart valves.
