Viewport - The Game

Mysterious, Unique Puzzle Game

View

We’re not sure how we ended up in this strange, eight-day experiment, but the more we play, the more intriguing Viewport becomes.

As our guide Dr Woo-jin Jung explains it, they need Subject 002’s help – that’s you, and no, we don’t know what happened to Subject 001, either – to translate 3D shapes into flat planes in a spatial awareness experiment.

By using the digital interface, you’re given four viewports: main, top, left and front. The first, main, gives you a peek at the full 3D shape, while top represents the top-down point of view, the left the left-side, and so on.

Your job is to tell Dr Jung what the target 3D shape looks like on each flat viewport, sketching out the shape with the limited tools provided.

As the game progresses you’ll learn to allow for curves and spheres and all sorts of irregularities. There’s even help if you’re stumped – the game will offer a handy hint every two minutes a viewport goes unanswered.

There’s a reason Viewport’s compelling story and innovative puzzle-play has already scooped up numerous awards. We think it just might be the shape of things to come.
