Excellent application for Profecionals on the go. There are limitations applied but for active photographer who travels often is excellent.
Can’t. Disable. Sync. Can’t tether.
I need to use Lightroom to 1)backup raw files from memory cards and 2)bulk color correct, review, export to low res jpg thousands of raw images while on location. A typical shoot is anywhere up to 3-400GB, and I like to keep multiple shoots on the iPad and alternate work between different ones. Now I *can* do that, but the dumb thing keeps uploading EVERYTHING to the cloud. There is no way of selectively uploading only selected files or albums/folders. As a result my creative cloud is clogged up with stuff I DON’T want there, and I can’t upload the stuff I actually need to. I realise that’s the whole idea behind this ecosystem, but it is definitely not suitable for my (and most photographers I know) way of work. JUST LET ME CHOOSE WHAT TO SYNC. Plus, I often spend months at a time in places in Africa, where a lot of the time the internet connection is capped at say 20gb per month. So in a day I could inadvertently consume my landlord’s entire limit for the month. Not nice at all.
Also, you can’t shoot tethered with it. What is this, 2005?
As for the rest it is quite comfy for reviewing/selection/raw conversion. But I will not be renewing my subscription until Adobe stops forcing me to upload everything I shoot.
