Great App
An amazing app that I work with every day. The new version 5 is fantastic but I get some bugs like lagging, not drawing when I move the pencil or not making the line straight when it has to. Also there are some issues with the undo function, as it doesn’t show the change. I hope all these get fixed right away so that I can fully enjoy this great app.
more freedom when panning would be nice
A really good app overall, but I have two issues with it and I didn't know where to ask for their solution, so I'm writing them in this here review.
The first thing is that I would have liked it to have the possibility to have more than three colours on the ribbon, so that you could change between more than three easy and quickly, without having to open the pallet window every time you needed a fourth colour.
Furthermore there is an irritating issue I have encountered many times, which is the fact that you cannot zoom and move a certain page, so that a part of your screen is the room outside your page.
This could be useful in a situation, where you would like your hand to rest on the screen of the ipad, whilst editing the edge of the document, needing a certain area of outside space to put your hand on. You can see on the preview photos of the app that it is thought as if you could simply rest your hand on the table beside the ipad, but, in my case at least, I cannot do that. The ipad itself is not as thin as a piece of paper and when you have a case on, etc., the elevational difference between the surfaces you write on and you rest your hand on reaches an uncomfortable level.
Nevertheless, the app is definitely one of the best ones for its purpose on any operational system and is more than worth it to invest in it.
Excellent notes app, missing features
I love Goodnotes and recommend it to all my friends, but it is annoying that very frequently requested features have still not made it into the app but random features no one particularly needs have. Things like infinite page layout, dashed line pen tools, snap to grid shapes, and other features that competitor apps have are still not present in Goodnotes and it is unfortunate. Hopefully the release of Goodnotes 6 will be an incentive for the developers to add some of these highly requested and basic features.
