If you have been a Google Photos user and at some point of time you decide to stop the access of the app to your current photos (use it as archive of older photos) you will be declined access to your older photos. Once access is stopped, the app screen where photos are to be viewed becomes a requirement to provide full access to your photos. No way found to avoid that. You have your photos through web on PC, but not in the app.Your photos are now hostage.Thanks for nothing Google!I’m now deleting ALL my photos from your platform.

I know Google wants to hijack and overwrite all Apple’s native apps on my iPad and I don’t like that. They made Google Photos so you can’t use the native Photos app - the only way to add files to Google Photos is within that app - you can’t share or “send” somehow photos ftom your native photo app. And that’s made on purpose. I’ll continue using my native Photos app which is much more more more more more more convenient and much better better better organized and will use google photos only in browser.
