HOW TO PLAY
Once inside The Arcana, you can play up to 21 unique episodes taken from the 21 Major Arcana tarot cards.
First, you must choose your pronouns. Each episode has endless amounts of options for you to role play. Unlike other dating sims, The Arcana story lets you be who you want and love who you desire.
As you interact with characters on your chosen path, you must make decisions quickly or face the consequences!

For some reason my previous review disappeared, but I insist to have one up because the other two reviews are unreasonably negative. The art of this game is absolutely amazing! Not only is the story quite complex and interesting, the books are definitely quite long for a story game like this, and the characters and scenery are absolutely stunning! I downloaded it a while back and keep rediscovering it and getting obsessed with it over and over again!
A monetary crapfest of insane proportions.
Where do I begin with this. My girlfriend initially downloaded this game as a “why not, it looks fun.” Then she played the prologue one morning and said - “This is really cool. But you need these coins to make cool choices and they are super hard to get.” I thought how hard could it be. Turns out they give you like 300 to start with and you can pretty much blow them all on the prologue. And I thought ok, whatever, they’re just for choices, you can probably get a ton of coins for no money at all, looks like a sensible monetization practice.
Boy was I wrong.
I downloaded it just to see what the pricing is. A single choice ranges between 50 and 275 coins. Maybe there are more expensive ones but that’s what I saw in the prologue chapters. And 100 coins cost around 2.50$
Which means sometimes you may need over 5$ to USE A DIALOGUE OPTION. That is beyond greedy. And it’s insulting how terribly these coins are drip-fed for free users. Later on you get “books” fir characters. Which are 500 coins a piece and some characters have 10+ books. In total, you’d need over 500$ to buy the full game and have access to all of the dialogue choices.
I think this says enough. The poorly animated characters do not in any way excuse the egregious pricing. This is a joke of a game and the devs are quite frankly insulting people with these price tags.
Too expensive
I would have loved to have the chance to earn more coins in a fair way instead of buying all the time. It gets too expensive. The story is amazing but it doesn't feel rewarding. This is what made me stop playing the first time. I'm giving it a second chance but the problem remains the same.
