Fun but buggy

Pretty nice game. Had fun picking builds with different weapons and skills. Though has a lot of bugs and exploits. Also if crashes (and it will crash) you loose the progress and cannot use Continue. This makes it kind of unplayable, unfortunately.

The “Soul Knight” rip off

So I’m gonna be completely honest. There are a lot of things that infuriated me just from a single run.
Firstly, you cant just spawn the player in a random map. At first I thought it was a tutorial run but it turned out to be the hub somehow(??)
Secondly…you guys really need some a bit more experience friendly lobby map. I like the idea of the stairs in the lobby. It gives variety and makes it look nicer, but they literally lead to nowhere and there’s no other way to get down except from where you came. It’s really annoying walking up expecting something but you get just a tree and now you are forced to go the whole way back.
Third - the whole UI is buggy and unpleasant to work with. The weapon hot-bar sometimes made me exit the game due to it being right on the virtual home button that also doesn’t fade away for some reason. I almost missed the pick up button. Yes, it’s that small. Not to mention the whole weapon switch. I feel like you need a quick switch button because it’s really hard to switch weapons mid-fight.
Fourth. The settings literally do almost nothing. The music was too loud for me and oh would you look at that…I can’t turn it down…I can only switch it off. The graphics panel literally has no explanation. “What does “FOV” or “Bloom” stands for?” is what a casual new-to-games person would ask. Why not add some descriptions? Also when you turn up the brightness just a little bit, due to it not having a live-update, you can’t see anything when you are standing near a torch. There is no in-game pause and you can literally get killed because the game SINGLEPLAYER doesn’t stop when you wanna adjust the settings.
Im not even gonna explain how you cant just spawn the player in a boss room out of nowhere. I just get spawned in front a thing with more than one health bar without any explanation and how am I supposed to know what’s happening? Also the item descriptions and stat explanations were full of spelling mistakes and I just can’t understand what they mean. What the heck is “15% miss rate”???? Am I gonna miss more shots or sum?
I really hope you devs are reading this and I really hope that’s some form of a beta release. The game looks great and has potential but the whole UE isn’t polished enough for the open community. Maybe playtest it a bit more. I will be really happy to play again but for now it’s just full of inconveniences that just add up to one big problem. I don’t usually write reviews but the major frustration I got from that game just needed to be set free.
Still a 2 star cuz your work doesn’t deserve lower!
