Description
This photo mural portrays the various ecosystems throughout the entire State of California –Rocky Shore, Wetlands, Redwood Forest, Valley, Mountains and Deserts. Because the lowest points of California are on the western and eastern borders of the State (oceans and deserts) those two ecosystems are located on the far left and right of the mural. The mountains join visually in the center of the mural with the low mountains inland from the coast on the right side of the left mural and the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains on the left side of the right mural. The colors and brightness of the mural change as your eyes move from left to right taking you from sunrise to sunset in your ecosystem journey.
