---- What Is Practicelover For? ----

Many people like to use plain paper to jot down their guitar practice schedule. They stick it to the wall and check off tasks when done.
PracticeLover is here to help digitize this chore and make improvements. Following are the differences between just use your plain paper:

• Practice data allows you to analyze your progress.
• Effectively use your spare time to do practices without a guitar such as listening to the classic tracks, ear training, or organizing and modifying your practice schedule.
• It is a mess to frequently update, modify, and re-order your schedule on the paper.
• Integrated seamlessly with the Pomodoro timer.

---- Why Do You Need A Guitar Practice Schedule? ----

It is not easy to get into your guitar practice mood when everyone else is glued to their mobile phones. What we have found is that the motivation is from the sense of progress.

You are not using your time effectively to make progress if you just pick up a guitar and play something you already master. This is more like “playing” instead of “practicing."

Force yourself to do deliberate practice by using a well-planned schedule. Enjoy "playing" your guitar only after finishing your daily practice. Also, use the checking-off and completion rate calendar functions to stay motivated.

“The key to acquiring high-level musical skills is something called deliberate practice.
The more deliberate practice you do, the better you get-and this applies to any skillful activity. But deliberate practice is not the same thing as ordinary practice. Ordinary practice often involves simply repeating something you can already do pretty well. Deliberate practice, by contrast, means that you are taking a step forward. You are doing something you find difficult - and once you have mastered it, you will be a step nearer to perfecting your skill. One of the defining characteristics of deliberate practice is that generally, it isn't fun - which is why excellence is rare.”

---- How To Organize Your Guitar Practice Schedule? ----

If you just begin, you don’t have to worry too much about your practice. Committing 15 or 30 minutes each day is sufficient to stay on the track.
However, if you want to progress along the way, you need to start planning your practice routine more seriously. Check the following practice schedule planning recommendations. (More links are in the App.)

+ It will not throw in the towel while working in the background; no matter how many other apps are running at the same time, how long the timer has been counting, or even if the iPhone has been turned off, it will keep counting when the app is turned on.
+ Other minor optimization.
