The Mac app has good UX, but consumes extreme amounts of RAM.

I enjoy using the app, but I wish it didn't use multiple gigabytes of RAM.

Developer Response ,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. Memory usage is something we're focused on improving, as we know it could be a lot better! We'd love to dig into any issue's you're experiencing further. Please get in touch with us at feedback@slack.com.

whoever writes your"What's New" releases is awesome!

The app is pretty useful and has a range of cool features, especially for a free app.

But I actually wanted to take the time and comment about the person/team who writes the "What's New" update release updates. You are a genius and funny, thank you for always having something witty to say rather than "we updated the app with the latest bug fixes"

Extremely inconvenient

You go to slack web page and you get a message "Your browser is not suppored" , you download Slack desktop app as recommended and you get a Sign In button bringing you back to your browser(which of course is not supported) and in the end of it all you can't connect with either. Amazing!

Developer Response ,

Unfortunately you'd indeed have to use one of our supported browser versions in order to sign in to a Slack workspace, as Slack's desktop app does require signing in via the browser to authenticate your account. If you're unable to update your current browser, you can switch your computer's default browser to a supported browser, this will allow you to sign into the desktop app and get up and running.
