Minion Rush
Minion Rush may be a family-friendly game, but it sure doesn’t skimp on difficulty.
Mastering this hyperkinetic runner entails learning to jump, duck, and sidestep at just the right moment – especially when you play a level in infinite mode (unlocked by earning every fruit). With no finish line, infinite levels keep getting faster until, eventually, you have mere milliseconds to avoid oncoming hazards.
All of which makes for the perfect high-score challenge. Using the default Minion, we unlocked infinite mode in level 15 (early enough even for first-time players to reach quickly) and took our best shot.
For six and a half harrowing minutes, we ran up ramps and slid down tubes, steered around boxes and into hapless bystanders – until we hit a surfboard that refused to budge (see video).
Our final tally: 572 bananas collected with the Banana Vacuum (and 2,186 bananas nabbed overall).

There’s not much complex strategy in a game this reflex-based, but here’s a tip: Keep an eye on what’s off in the distance. If you only stare at what’s right in front of your Minion, you’re less likely to evade the danger down the road.
