eKey 2.0 provides Bahrain’s citizens and residents with a secure single sign-on solution, simplifying access to a range of public and private sector eServices.
This application, provided by the Information & eGovernment Authority, provides the Kingdom of Bahrain’s citizens and residents with a secure single-sign-on digital identity solution that simplifies access to many public and private sector eServices that are available through the National Portal bahrain.bh and other digital channels, with ease and without the need to re-enter personal data for each service.
The application leverages artificial intelligence and offers an enhanced eKYC (Know Your Customer) service to verify the user's national identity, ensuring a seamless and secure login process.

So convenient
Getting on board and creating my digital identity took just a few minutes.
I can now access all the government services I use without a username or password, and it’s much more secure. I have full control over who can access my personal information and a detailed history how my information is being used.
Soon, we’ll be able to use eKey everywhere. It’s currently being integrated with NBB, BBK, BIsB, Credimax, Beyon Money and Binance, and Batelco and the Chamber of Commerce have announced they are converting to it too.
Incidentally I actually tried to spoof it by using a high quality photo of my face instead of my ‘live’ face but it caught it immediately. Impressive. The information that the Government has released on the technology indicates that the chance of successfully spoofing the platform is 1 in 120,000,000, so effectively zero.
I absolutely love it. Huge congrats to everyone involved—one of the best services ever delivered by the government.
