Smart Sweat Management: the first wearable tech ski jacket that delivers moisture management at the touch of a button.

Swipe your sweat away: This app has been created to control and support KJUS’ 7SPHERE HYDRO_BOT Jacket; the first wearable technology ski jacket that delivers moisture management at the touch of a button.

HYDRO_BOT uses an electronic, user-controlled moisture transport system that actively pumps moisture out of the jacket using electro-osmosis, keeping you warm and dry from the first run of the day to the last.

A revolution for breathability in skiwear:
Up until now, no skiwear on the market has been able to match human sweat rates in terms of breathability. Traditional membranes used in skiwear simply cannot transport moisture out of a jacket fast enough especially in sub-zero temperatures. The unique HYDRO_BOT membrane on the other hand, is able to match human sweat rates no matter the activity level or climatic conditions. Tests have shown that it is up to 10 x as efficient at reducing moisture inside the jacket than ordinary membranes.

Why skiers need HYDRO_BOT:
HYDRO_BOT solves one of the biggest challenges for the skiwear industry: breathability. Human beings regulate their body temperature by sweating. However, this is thrown into a spin in winter sports when athletes work up a sweat while wearing warm, waterproof clothing that traps the moisture inside the clothing. The result is that the skier becomes damp and cold on the inside. The issue is compounded because the skier is constantly switching between very active states and very passive states - from hiking mountains and tackling black runs to sitting on a chair lift. HYDRO_BOT solves this issue.

The benefits:
Not only does HYDRO_BOT dramatically improve comfort and enjoyment levels by keeping the skier dry and protected from the ‘post-activity chill,’ that sets in when a skier’s inner garments soaked in sweat, it also facilitates improved ski performance. With less of your energy spent on thermoregulation you can expend more energy on your skiing.

How HYDRO_BOT works:
HYDRO_BOT is integrated into the jacket via two panels that are strategically located on the high sweat zone of the back. The panels actively pump out moisture from inside the jacket when an electrical pulse is applied. By drawing out moisture, the inner garments are prevented from feeling wet and cold - so the skier remains dry, comfortable and focused on their performance.

HYDRO_BOT can be turned on/off as needed, depending on the weather conditions and your activity level.

Electro-osmosis explained:
The HYDRO_BOT panels consist of three functional layers - a membrane surrounded by conductive fabric. The unique membrane consists of billions of pores per m2. When a low current is being applied, the billions of pores turn into micropumps, actively pumping out moisture and transporting a high amount of sweat away from the body.

Simple Operation:
Use this app to switch HYDRO_BOT on and off via Bluetooth or use the switch on the jacket's control panel.
