Humanity has been co-existing with animals for aeons, and therefore they have a very special place in our hearts – it’s probably why we all have a very particular answer to the question, “If you could be any animal, what would you be?”

In popular battle royale game Garena Free Fire, you can show the love for your favourite animal and triumph over fellow humans thanks to a bunch of cool customisation options, such as pets, outfits and characters. There’s even a social deduction game mode dedicated to your pets called Pet Rumble, where Scientist pets try to save themselves and vote out naughty Prankster pets! Here are some of our favourite choices:

Pandamonium time

The gentle and cuddly panda is one of the most adorable animals out there, and the Detective Panda in Free Fire makes for an excellent companion in battle too. Why bring a panda to a showdown like this? Thanks to his Panda’s Blessings skill, you’ll be able to restore hit points (HP) after taking out targets, which could be a potential lifesaver.

Play as your pet in Pet Rumble mode and try not to get killed – or voted out.

Otter delight

Another cute animal beloved by many, the otter is smart and resourceful. Free Fire’s Ottero has a Double Blubber skill that can help you gain extra energy points (EP) while using Treatment Gun or Med Kit to restore your HP. By building up your EP reserve, you can quickly heal later should your HP go down – again, quite a lifesaver. And when Ottero levels up, he can break out some slick dance moves too.

Penguin for the win

What penguins lack in flying ability, they make up for with their cuteness and survival skills in harsh conditions. Free Fire’s Mr. Waggor knows this all too well, so that’s why he gives you a Gloo Wall grenade every once in a while with his Smooth Gloo skill. One of the game’s handiest items, the Gloo Wall grenades can be used for all sorts of situations, from blocking enemy fire and hiding your movement to breaking your fall and getting to hard-to-reach spots. Oh and Mr. Waggor’s got really good taste in eyewear as well.

Raccoon it out

A clever and nimble animal, the raccoon can easily adapt and make the most of opportunities. In Free Fire, the mohawk-styled Rockie lends his Stay Chill skill to a wide variety of situations by decreasing the cool down for your active skills. He’s also a rocker who can bust out the moves as he levels up, which means there’s never a dull moment with this little fellow.

Monkey business

Why stop at bringing animals into battle when you can become one too? Pick Wukong as your character and show other humans who’s the prime primate on the battlefield. With his Camouflage skill, the mysterious Monkey King can transform himself into a bush to hide or ambush unsuspecting enemies. Should he succeed in taking foes down, the skill’s cool down time gets a reset too.
