What is the 20 20 20 Rule? - The 20 20 20 Rule states that when staring at a screen for long periods of time, it is beneficial to look away from your screen every 20 minutes, at something 20 feet away or more, for at least 20 seconds. 

Our app, inspired by the 20-20-20 rule, reminds you to give your eyes regular breaks in a way that doesn't disrupt your workflow. Unlike other apps that BLOCK your entire screen, RestEyes uses sound, a popup from the menu bar, and dims your screen to NUDGE you to look away for a couple seconds. This allows YOU to decide if it's a good idea to give your strained eyes some rest, or if you're so focused that you can't take a break. With RestEyes, you can save your vision health and conquer the workday at the same time!
