Description
An interactive Timeline that shows the lifespans of major artists in Western Art, focusing on realistic artists. Tapping on an artist's name activates a popup with a brief bio and an example of his work.
What’s New
Version 2.3(4)
Over 40 artists were added in this update and the Timeline was lengthened vertically to accommodate the additional 19th century artists. A color-coded list of 14 major Art Movements has been added; tapping on a Movement’s name activates a popup with examples and a brief description. The color of the bars indicating an artist’s lifespan now reflects his association with a particular Movement. In a future update I will be adding new artists who are still living.
