Crouton supports importing recipes from almost everywhere! Pull recipes automatically out of websites and just save the bits you need. You can also scan recipes straight out of your recipe book using OCR

PLAN YOUR WEEK
With your favourite recipes on hand, Crouton makes it very easy to plan your meals for the week (or even long into the future). If you’re stuck for recipe ideas let Crouton automatically generate the meal plan from your organized dinner recipes.

STEP BY STEP MODE
Crouton offers a unique step by step mode. Focus on one recipe step at time as you cook, you can tap on ingredients within a step to get the quantity (saves you jumping back and forth between the steps and ingredients). With hands free mode you can move between steps without touching your device! Perfect for when you have messy hands.

TIMERS
Start timers with a tap. Crouton detects times within recipes and lets you start timers straight from the steps. A convenient heads up display keeps the times front of mind while you continue to use the app.

GROCERY LISTS
Create shopping lists directly from your recipes, easily copy just the ingredients you need to your list. Integrates with Reminders for convenient access. Your groceries have never been easier!

CLOUD SYNCING
All of your recipes are conveniently synced between all of your devices using iCloud.

Excelent

This app is absolutely fantastic. The dev support has been great, always bringing in new features. I feel like everytime I use it I find out a new functionality. Truly excellent.

Translation

I love the app, but would be a really cool thing if you could translate the recipes.

Fantastic app, but…

I just found out this app and it’s been great. I had two issues with that. First, on Mac, I was following a video and transcribing the recipe. It took me a lot of time and effort, just to discover that I couldn’t save it because it reached my quota of 5 recipes. But I did purchased on my iPhone and when I clicked on the “purchase” button, nothing happened and the app just stopped working. I came here because I’m really angry about that. The second problem is that I’m Brazilian and everything is in English. The real problem is that importing recipes won’t work with some specifics like teaspoon or tablespoon that here is “colher de chá”. The spellchecker won’t work either when entering the fields, so it becomes harder to type correctly, don’t know if it is because of the language or some problem on the app. Even though I’m really enjoying the app. Beautiful design and clearness. Thank you guys!

Sorry for the crash when trying to upgrade, this will be resolved in the next update. I hope to add more languages soon, appreciate the feedback!
