Agressive subscription model. (Mostly?) US based-only.
Pretty agressive on how the subscription model pop up as soon as you open. And, at least for me, there was no option to use the trial period with the monthly subscription. You can only do the trial under the yearly subscription. Very convenient for when you forget to cancel it if you don't like the service.
Prices are not be terrible. Unfortunately, lack Brazilian news sources makes it less desirable for me. It is not an issue per se. Just a geographic limitation.

Not even trial period. Too agressive.
You can’t even try some articles, if not subscribed. You open the app and first thing that pops up is the subscription screen. And if you wanna try, all the articles are locked.
How can you buy something if you can’t even try it. Too agressive.
