HIV Care Tools features free point‐of‐care tools for clinicians caring for people with – or at risk for – HIV infection.

Quick guides provide essential information for HIV testing, pre‐exposure prevention (PrEP), post‐exposure prevention (PEP), rapid start of antiretroviral treatment (ART) for those testing HIV positive, and resources to help pay for HIV medications.

Easy‐to‐use, secure, clinical calculators and screeners for common co‐occurring conditions are provided, these include BMI, CrCl, FIB-4, PHQ-9, AUDIT-C, and others.

One-touch access to phone‐based, free, national clinician warmlines for expert support with HIV prevention and care, substance use, hepatitis C, and COVID‐19.

Local and regional contact information for AIDS Education and Training Center Program experts who offer free training and capacity building support for the clinical care team.

All app content is accessible without Internet access but can only be installed and updated when the device is connected to the internet.

AETC Care Tools is a project of the AETC National Coordinating Resource Center (NCRC) and funded by the HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB) of the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), under the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Support was provided under grant number U1OHA28686 awarded to the François‐Xavier Bagnoud Center, Rutgers University School of Nursing and the project was implemented in partnership with the University of California, San Francisco under subcontract with Rutgers.
