IMPORTANT: IF THE OLD OR NEW WIDGETS DON'T APPEAR, RESTART YOUR DEVICE! This is an issue in iOS.

This update is more or less 2-3 big updates in one - we're proud to present the best Home Widget available for Hue, and if this wasn't enough, we've extended Siri Shortcuts by quite an extent. In detail:

We now support Home Widgets - and they put more functionality in available space than any other Hue widget! One small and one medium with the 2024 upgrade, or any number and large widgets via a Membership. They support every action of the classic Widget - and more:

* All Home Widgets sync via iCloud
* Place them anywhere you like on your Home screen
* Duplicate & Share them with family members (Membership)
* Multi action, up to 4 actions for one group - a new one per press (Pro)

We've polished the way you can add new things to your widget - this is free for everybody! You can access your list of widgets now directly from iConnectHue's menu.

It took a lot of effort to support Home Widgets, in addition we redesigned them. The way they work is vastly different from the old widgets, they won't always show the latest state. But still, iConnectHue will always switch right. Opening the app or pressing the reload button in the middle will update them instantly.
(Available for every Member or w/ 2024 upgrade)

Pro Members will welcome the Multi Action Item - put up to 4 actions for the same group into it and step through them, like with the Hue Dimmer Hue button. This saves up to 75% space, and allows you complex actions even in a small widget.

IMPORTANT: If the old or new widgets don't appear, please restart your iOS device. This is a bug in iOS.
Also note that the classic widget is marked as "deprecated" since multiple years by Apple. It might happen that it will disappear with a future iOS update. Home Widgets require iOS 17, as this introduced interactive Widgets.

Siri Shortcuts

You can now create and edit shortcuts in the shortcuts app directly - with nice lists of what you can do and where.

The old way of doing things in the app and adding them as shortcut afterwards isn't available any longer, but you can still create shortcuts within iConnectHue via its menu.
(Available for every Member or w/ 2024 upgrade)

Note: If you get the error that something went wrong in the shortcuts app, please restart your device. This is a bug in iOS.

In addition to this, Pro Members get a new selection of possible shortcuts and actions:

* Change brightness of a group
* Toggle a Motion Sensor, Contact Sensor
* Turn a group on in 2 hour sun-adjusting daylight mode
* Set the color of a group via color code (see our Copy & Paste tutorial for possible codes)

* Try out the new things without purchase; Running new shortcuts and using Home Widgets though requires the appropriate purchase
* Toggle the Contact Sensor on/off from any widget (2024 upgrade)

* Contact sensor open state indicated via icon in device list
* Added support for new light types
* Several detail improvements - finders, keepers
* Fixes and stability improvements - yes, we also do that...

Note that some things might only be available in iOS 17, and we strongly recommend to update to the latest iOS version for everything to work properly.

to be perfect, the only thing missing is the microphone in the music mode to work without having to stay on the screen or the screen locked

iConnectHue’s Discotainment is able to use the microphone when the screen is off and the phone is locked.

Please make sure you have given permission to iConnectHue to use your microphone.
If you have, disabling and re-enabling it could help:
- Enter the iPhone’s Settings app
- Scroll down to the iConnectHue app
- Switch of "microphone"
- Switch it back on and test if you are now able to use Discotainment with the screen off.

If the problem persists, please contact us via Contact -> I have a Problem in iConnectHue.
This way, we can have a better look into why the error occurs.

Muito poderoso

O app é muito poderoso, possibilitando muita customização das luzes (até mesmo de grupos diferentes) em um único atalho.

Pra ser perfeito, está faltando compatibilidade com widgets do iOS 14.

Estou alterando a classificação para 5 estrelas, após esclarecimento dos desenvolvedores de que os widgets atuais (que são muito poderosos) não são compatíveis com o iOS 14 por limitações da própria Apple.

Will you provide an iOS 14 widget?

The new widgets are of course on our radar. However, they work in a total different way than the complex widgets we provide at the moment and therefore cause an issue for us: Unfortunately at the moment they are not fit to be used by iConnectHue, as they don’t support all the options we currently offer with our widget. In a nutshell: Presently we can’t say when or if we will support these widgets. We have provided Apple with feedback what’s currently missing for the new widgets and hope for changes in upcoming iOS updates.

Excellent!! Must have!

I have quite a few hue lamps in my home and was trying to figure how to use all of the without having to buy lots of dimmers and taps! This solved my problem! With the original hue app the possibilities are really narrow when you need to configure the taps and dimmers! This multiply by lots what you can do with your equipment! For instance I have three lamps and a led strip on my daughters room! With the hue app I'd have to have to different taps to control them individually, with this I use only one tap! Just this made me save 40 dollars, (and I was able to do the same in three other places) so the app is practically free!!
