Suggestions
The app is really good but it needs a few things:
It could use Apple’s “playback UI” which is probably easier to implement than the current playback and much more familiar to the users since most streaming platforms have implemented it.
There could be a way to play all My List videos one after another.
The biggest missed opportunity: have a way to access the Japanese language content available on NHK World Japan website (on the日本語テレビ tab). All the 海外向け日本語サービス videos (both 見逃し配信 and 同時配信) should be available in the app. Specially in tvOS.
Need a better player and subtitles
Love watching NHK Japan, but I find hard to hear the content of the programs, would love to have English subtitles to better understand them.
Also It could use the tvOS default player. The current one doesn’t let me rewind the program after a while.
