This app update contains several accessibility improvements to give users a better user experience when using iOS VoiceOver, other mobile screen readers as well as an external keyboard. Distributed Recording - With this update, users can join "In progress" or "Scheduled" recordings add a primary or a secondary stream to that recording. Record & Upload videos – This app version has a more reliable recording and uploading experience. Users will get a more intuitive UI to guide them through their entire video recording and uploading experience. A few specific improvements: - Users can choose the video quality while recording. The app also shows the available recording length for each quality level based on the amount of free storage on the device. - Improved UI to clearly show the state of the recording and upload until the video is ready. - Users can now see their recent uploads in a list on the 'My Stuff' screen and uploads will continue while using the app or even in the background. Improved background audio playback – We have made performance improvements to our background audio playback to use reduce data and battery usage. Additionally, users will now be able to control the background audio playback via play controls. Ability to update video title, description, and share videos – In this app version, users can update their video title and description, and share the video with others. The app also allows the user to manage the rest of the video settings through a link that launches in the mobile browser. All this can be found in the more (‘kebab’) menu for a video.

Background Audio Playback — This app version adds support for background audio playback. This will allow users to continue listening to the audio part of the video they are playing, if they switch to another app or lock their device. The video will continue playing once the Panopto app is back in focus.Please note, there are a couple of limitations that we hope to solve in the future: - No play controls are shown on the lock screen or system panel of the device when playing in the background. - There may be slight delays before playback starts as the app transitions to and from the background. Additionally, we have improved reliability for uploading videos by adding support to keep the app awake while uploads are in progress.
