Time to throw a party and make new friends. The Sims Mobile has arrived, bringing a fresh new take on a virtual world familiar to millions.

The Sims Mobile is looking to enhance the social elements of your Simlish community, give you masses to customise and also make sure more casual players can make progress.

Meet Andrew Guerrero, general manager of Maxis Studios, and his Sim.

“Players can now shape their Sims’ lifestyles with relationship stories... or interact with other players’ Sims at parties and around town,” explains Andrew Guerrero, general manager at Sims developer Maxis.

“You can start friendships, romances, or rivalries with those Sims and even get to know the players behind them.”

The Sims has been a monumental hit on PC and console over the past 17 years, and translating that experience to mobile has meant specially tailoring the experience.

The game features a robust Sim creator.

“Core gameplay features, like creating unique Sims and building the perfect home, will feel similar... But one of the biggest differences is how players spend their time,” adds Guerrero.

“In The Sims 4, many players prefer to dive deep into telling a story for hours and hours. On mobile, we enable shorter, more frequent sessions and the ability to make real progress in just a couple of minutes while on the go.”

As you might expect in a game about a society, the player can also benefit from social interaction with other Sims players.

Unleash your inner decorator!

“The most obvious way to meet other [real-world players] is to throw and attend parties,” says Guerrero.

“The more your Sims are seen — and the better they look — the more stickers and rewards they’ll receive from other players. This is an area of the game we’re excited about expanding, so look forward to some cool additions soon.”

The Sims Mobile features a cartoonlike visual style.

With another Sims title, The Sims FreePlay, already available on iPhone and iPad, Guerrero believes that players will have the opportunity to involved themselves in two worlds and not have to choose between them.

“We know our players have a wide range of preferences and styles, and having The Sims FreePlay and The Sims Mobile live together expands the Sims family.”

So, if throwing a party with only all your ideal guests and none of the real-life hassle appeals, The Sims Mobile is definitely for you.
