Microsoft Outlook
Email and calendar
Microsoft Outlook makes wrangling your email, calendar and contacts easier than ever by integrating them into a single convenient app. The latest version’s updated design and useful features will help you maximise your productivity – and it’s free to use.
Here’s a look at some of the highlights of this productivity powerhouse.
Make it personal
Outlook was designed specifically for Mac, with a spacious layout and support for popular macOS features like widgets, Notification Center and Handoff. The app has also been optimised for Apple silicon for improved performance and sync speed.
But Outlook is also incredibly customisable. Choose your favourite colour theme, information density and text size. Make your most common actions more accessible using customisable toolbars and quick actions. Set up trackpad gestures to, say, delete or archive a message by swiping. And install Outlook add-ins to sign document attachments using DocuSign, schedule video meetings using Zoom or Webex without leaving the app and more.
Stay focused
With your email, contacts, and calendar all in one place, Outlook lets you get things done instead of having to juggle several apps. The unified inbox consolidates mail from all your accounts – the app supports multiple iCloud, Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo and IMAP accounts – while the Focused Inbox displays just the most important messages.
You can also snooze non-urgent messages until you have time to reply – or use Ignore to automatically delete new messages in a noisy-but-unimportant conversation.
Find info fast
Outlook’s search field uses the same search engine as other Outlook and Microsoft 365 apps for faster and more consistent results. Get access to your search history and suggested searches with a click; find a specific message in an instant by searching by keyword, date, priority and more; or type a descriptive query, like “from Amy two weeks ago.”
