Top Drives – Car Cards Racing

Collect, Upgrade & Race Rivals

VIEW

You might remember comparing car stat cards in the playground: “This one has a top speed of 200mph, what about yours?”

In Top Drives, comparing vehicle attributes is the driving force of the game, but there’s one crucial difference – here you find out which cars are best by watching races unfold.

As you steer your way through Top Drives, trying out singleplayer and multiplayer “Events”, you gradually fill your garage with an impressive collection of automobiles. From there you select a hand containing the vehicles best suited to the five races of the match ahead.

If it’s a drag race, for example, you’ll be thinking about the car’s acceleration, while twistier circuits will require superior handling. If you’re going off road, you may want to sacrifice pure speed for four-wheel drive.

Collect myriad cars and race on thrilling tracks from all around the world.

Crossing the finishing line first is clearly your priority, but bigger margins of victory earn you extra points, with the player who collects the most over the five races winning the match.

But be warned, Top Drives isn’t quite as simple as loading your garage with the most powerful motors. The “Race Quota” limits the combined value of the cars in each hand, while some matches require you to play a car from a specific manufacturer. It’s also wise not to pin your hopes on filling your garage with supercars.

Yes, the Aston Martins and Maseratis are out there, but with each purchase coming in the form of sealed packs of cards, you’re just as likely to wind up with a sensible hatchback from the 1980s. It’s down to you to use it wisely.
