The Chinook Observer is everywhere you are. The app gives you on-demand access to local and regional news. The Chinook Observer is the weekly newspaper for the Washington coast, serving Washington's Discovery Coast villages: Long Beach, Ocean Park, Seaview, Ilwaco, Surfside, Nahcotta, Oysterville, Chinook, Naselle, Bay Center and all points in between. Since 1900, our award-winning local news coverage has provided the most complete body of information available on the region.

Version 214.2
This version brings many bug fixes and improvements to the app to continue bringing the best reader experience possible. These include, but are not limited to, the following:
- YouTube embeds are now playable within the article detail view and do not take you out of the app
- While in VoiceOver mode, the cursor will no longer get stuck on scrollbars
- When sharing an asset the URL will be provided instead of the asset name
- Search results will now always show the date posted for an asset
- Vertical videos will be visible in the correct aspect ratio in the embedded video player
