语博是国家智慧教育平台的服务拓展，立足语言文化传承和全民终身学习两大任务，以广大师生尤其是青少年学生为主要受众，兼顾服务社会大众，努力成为“四位一体”的语言文化资源的集群共享平台，国家通用语言文字和中华优秀语言文化的学习研究平台，语言文化品牌活动的参与互动平台，社会大众爱读书、读好书、善读书的阅读提升平台。
语博移动端平台包括语言国情、发展演变、经典传承、语博学堂、语言智能、主题展览6个主体版块资源，并设置“学习”“互动”“检索”3个功能模块，实现横纵交叉、立体展示，拓展数字语博应用形态，创设时时能学、处处可用的环境。
