Description

NAATBatt International is the trade association for advanced battery technology in North America. Its mission is to promote the commercial interests of its members by supporting the development, commercialization and manufacture of advanced battery technologies consistent with the larger goals of enhancing energy efficiency, reducing petroleum dependence and accelerating carbon-free electricity generation.

As of January 2024, NAATBatt International has more than 350-member firms. NAATBatt member firms include leading battery manufacturers, battery component makers, energy material miners and processors, research institutions, truck and automobile manufacturers, electric utilities, economic development authorities, battery recyclers and professional service providers. Its members range from some of the biggest companies in North America to start-up companies bringing new technologies to market. Members include both domestic companies and companies based overseas interested in expanding into the North American advanced battery market.

NAATBatt is most fundamentally a networking and market intelligence gathering organization. NAATBatt seeks to accomplish its mission by lowering the pre-competitive information barriers for companies selling goods and services related to advanced battery technology in the North American market. NAATBatt designs its programs, committees and activities in order to maximize the opportunities for participants to meet and do business with other companies in the industry.

NAATBatt believes that by providing its individual members with robust pre-competitive market intelligence about the North American battery market and greater visibility in the industry, NAATBatt can support the growth of the North American battery industry as a whole and accomplish NAATBatt’s mission.

NAATBatt’s programs and events consist of its annual meeting and conference (usually in February) and a series of workshops and meetings during the balance of the year. Members and non-members are welcome at most NAATBatt meetings and events. NAATBatt committees, of which there are 16 as of January 2024, provide members with monthly or bi-monthly opportunities to discuss and learn about different issues concerning advanced battery technology and the business of selling and making it in North America.
