HIGH-SCORE CHALLENGE

Jetpack Joyride

Just how far can you fly, Barry Steakfries?

Jetpack Joyride

The best endless running game!

View

From the moment you burst through a wall and take off, Jetpack Joyride sends you on one of gaming’s wildest flights. Dodging lasers, piloting weird vehicles, high-fiving folks on the ground – this beloved infinite runner has it all.

Because your score is measured in metres travelled, the game revolves around hero Barry Steakfries going the distance. And Jetpack gives you lots of crafty ways to earn more points, including head-start rocket boosts and post-crash explosions that fling Barry even further down the course.

But this challenge is for purists, so forget about those cheats.

Nab speed boosts to fling yourself forward and disintegrate a few obstacles.

To prove your skills, try reaching at least 3,500 metres without using any head starts, revives or final-spin bonuses (including “second chance” resurrections). It’s tough but totally doable. Before you hit your thrusters, fuel up with these quick tips:

Eyes in the sky

The sooner you spot threats, the better your odds of avoiding them. Maximise visibility by focusing on the right side of the screen instead of Barry, and train yourself to tap the left side of the screen instead of the right, so you don’t block your view of the action.

Stay in control

Hover near the center of the screen rather than hugging the ground or ceiling. This keeps your navigational options open (to fly up or drop down as needed). Likewise, when you’re in a jumping vehicle like the Bad As Hog, which descends quickly, use short leaps so you’re back on the ground as soon as possible.

Ride every ride

Even if you don’t like harder-to-control vehicles like the Profit Bird or Crazy Freaking Teleporter, enter all of them! A vehicle falls apart when it takes a hit, but Barry keeps flying – essentially giving you a brief extra “life.”
