Fast Track to Your Ticket
How can you buy your tickets even faster and get updates on your journey on top of that? You get it with the ÖBB App, round the clock, wherever you are. Take the train and take it easy.
The ÖBB App comes with the following features:
• Tickets for trains, buses, the metro and trams: book your ÖBB tickets & get exclusive online specials such as the Sparschiene Österreich discount fares. You can also book the city tickets and weekly or monthly tickets of Austrian regional transport operators
• Pay your fares on the go with SimplyGo! The handy add-on for the ÖBB App automatically identifies the routes you travelled and calculates the matching public transport fare for your complete journey
• Secure your favourite seat on the Railjet: use the graphic seat reservation
• Find the best fare: see the ÖBB train services sorted by lowest fare first
• ÖBB Account: conveniently and securely store your personal data and means of payment, save your favourite routes, and receive additional exclusive offers (e.g. the Vorteilscard 66 discount card)
We are continuously working on the app to enrich it with new features and improve the usability.

Pretty but Annoying
Cool design but extremely annoying trying to access basic things like saving tickets, seeing the connection information for that ticket, and finding connection info at all
App crashes when trying to click on ticket
When I try to click on a ticket that I bought on the start page, the entire app crashes
I need to use ÖBB Scotty to see information about platforms and connections, because the app crashes when I try to view my ticket
Terrible terrible service 3 hours late
3 hours late from Innsbruck to Amsterdam. Not a single announcement telling us anything. App kept saying train was leaving in 20 minutes.
Did offer a ride on any other train heading to Amsterdam. No apologies.
Customer service didn’t respond.
And since this technically an app review the app is nearly useless. Finding prices is hard. Reserving a seat is as hidden a feature as it could be. I have no idea how you would book a sleeping car using the app.
If ÖBB is your only train option, take a plane.
