Description

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless. Read a book (any book) to your newborn, infant, and/or toddler. The goal is to have read 1,000 books (yes you can repeat books) before your precious one starts kindergarten. Does it sound hard? Not really if you think about it. If you read just 1 book a night, you will have read about 365 books in a year. That is 730 books in two years and 1,095 books in three years. If you consider that most children start kindergarten at around 5 years of age, you have more time than you think (so get started).

The 1000 Books Before Kindergarten app lets you keep track of your reading activity quickly and easily.

- Scan books into your library
- Keep track of reading activity for multiple readers
- Track your progress to 1000 books!

Ok but..

Would be nice to add in your own books that have been read and not only the small list provided. 1000 books but doesn’t even give a 200.

Good concept, buggy

Often times, the books I add for my child will not apply to his reading list despite me trying to add them directly from the Library and by searching the library via the “Finished a Book” button. I think someone also forgot to remove the test book image from the manual book entry function, so when I add a book the default cover is some quantum physics textbook or something like that. Funny, but not a great user experience. I’m excited to add my child’s books, but the UX is too buggy. Looking forward to an update! Until then, we’ll just write down the books, I guess.

“1000 books” is more like 100

You cannot add any books to the list, only choose from the list they provide. Their list is probably a 100 books or so, so you cannot use the app to reach 1000 or to keep track of what you have read.
