The Easy Way to Create Split-Screen Music Videos on Your Mobile Device
Roland’s 4XCAMERA is a unique app that allows you to create impressive music videos with up to four performances split on the screen. Start by capturing one video performance to the app, which becomes your guide. Then sing or play along and capture up to three more performances, adding new parts on each pass. As you perform, sound is recorded via the device’s built-in mic or a connected audio capture device like GO:MIXER PRO.
With just 4XCAMERA and a smartphone or tablet, it’s easy to get creative and take your video performances to new levels. And by sharing 4XCAMERA video projects through cloud-based storage, multiple musicians can use the app to contribute performances to your songs from anywhere in the world! The latest version adds integrated access to free video clips featuring live drummers, letting you spice up songs with on-demand backing.
4XCAMERA supports capturing up to two performances. An upgrade to full functionality is available via a small in-app purchase.

Has potential but needs work
I tried out the free version to see if it might be worth upgrading. Used and external USB mic and iPhone 12. The editing capabilities are clumsy (and very limited) The time lag in videos is unfixable at this point. I used a metronome and still sound did not sync. The “timing” option is unclear and seems to do nothing to fix this problem. I would say don’t waste your money on upgrading until Roland addresses these issues
Trim slider doesn’t work iPhone 11
After updating to iPhone 11 the trim slider no longer shows numeric time stamp
Roman please fix this as it renders the app useless with newer iOS devices
Difficult to navigate
Was happy to find an app like this. I want to do multi screen videos to do covers (piano and singing) but once I recorded the piano video on here, I couldn’t figure out how to listen to what I did and sing on top. Hope there’s even an app for something like that.

What you are hoping to do is completely possible, and the technique will vary depending on whether or not you are using an audio interface (like the Roland GO:Mixer Pro) or the iPhone's built-in mic.
