650 CKOM is a local radio station that covers news, talk and sports, in and around Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. When downloading the 650 CKOM app, make sure to allow notifications and we will keep you up to date with local breaking news. You will get local news every 30 minutes on our live stream. You can also catch your favourite talk shows- see “show schedule” in the menu for times. Find your missed shows on our “on demand” page.

Good app
This app works and everything but in news stories i would like it if you put a search bar... Otherwise you have to scroll through the whole thing to find the news story you r looking for
Listening problems
Nothing too flashy about this app. I downloaded it mainly just for the listening option, but the app seems to have problems running properly in the background. It constantly stops playback forcing me to go back and start it, sometimes requiring multiple restarts of the app to get it going again. I’ve troubleshooted this as much as possible. Even with no other apps in the background, iOS updated, restarting the whole phone, still does it.
I’m updating this review one year later. The change to the on demand feature is no good. Listening to an on demand audio file only works as long as you keep the app open and your phone awake. I’m glad they moved gormley to Apple podcasts. But if I want to listen to anything else like the morning show there’s really no good options anymore.
Proof read
This is a great app but does anyone proof read the news stories before they post them? I would be embarrassed to post that quality of writing if that were my profession.
