Good but short lived.

7 souls is an old school RPG that fans of SNES era RPGs should feel right at home with. The environments are varied, the combat is simple but effective and the characters are well written enough and have interesting dialogue. The game itself is fun enough if you like RPGs. The problem with the game is that it is just too short.

Without giving too much away, most of the story of 7 souls centres around a revolving door of characters who are discovering something about old ‘souls’ that were placed under guardianship, and what the role is that those souls play in the world. And then... nothing happens. There is some talk of the role that those souls play in the world, and nothing happens with them. The whole story arc is about people trying to find these magic mcguffins, and then no one does anything with the mcguffins. It’s disappointing to say the least.

I regret giving this dev a poor review because they are good at making old school RPGs, but it seems that in the case of this game, they got so far along and then just gave up. It’s a shame.

Excellent on the go RPG

A surprisingly excellent on the go RPG, excellent controls and auto save system make it perfect for on the go. Terrific art, very reminiscent of SNES classics like FF6 and Chrono Trigger. Traditional but very satisfying turn-based combat, and a cast of very fleshed out characters. I’d recommend this to anyone who loves classic RPGs, it stands on its own as a good time

Level ten?

So I used the last of my Apple Cash to get this game and enjoyed both the story (what there was) and graphics. However I beat the game and am level freakin 10. No matter how you put it that is a rip off. So disappointed at how you made a great introduction to the possibility of a good game then just ended it.
I’d ask for my money back but I know that ripoffs never feel bad. Freakin shame.
